Neuac

Neuac is used twice a day, ideally in the morning and again at night. First, wash the area to be treated with a non-medicated cleanser, then rinse well with warm water. Thoroughly dry the area or wait 15 minutes before applying your medication. Dispense a pea-sized amount of gel to clean fingers and spread a thin layer to the area being treated, the entire face, or as directed by your doctor. 

Avoid contact with the mouth, eyes, nose, or anywhere skin may be broken. Rinse thoroughly with cool water if the gel contacts mucous membranes. Wash your hands thoroughly after each use and wait for about an hour before applying non-medicated makeup. This product may contain a bleaching risk, so it's best to avoid contact with hair or clothing when applying your medication.

Be sure to protect your medication from light, moisture, or fluctuations in temperature, especially freezing. For these reasons, it's best not to store Neuac in the bathroom. Keep the container tightly closed and stored at room temperature. Your medication has a limited time that it remains effective. Dispose of any unused medication after three months.

Neuac is most effective when applied twice at the same time each day, set up a routine for applying your medication after you wake up and before going to bed, so you don't miss a treatment.

Neuac is available at most pharmacies, but requires a prescription from a doctor. The cost of Neuac may be covered in whole or in part by your insurance. Although Neuac is safe and effective for most people, those with pre-existing conditions may experience a worsening of their symptoms. This is true for those who have intestinal disorders such as colitis, ulcerative colitis, or regional enteritis. Speak with our medical team if you have been diagnosed with these conditions to determine if Neuac is right for you. Even if you haven't been diagnosed, let us know as a precaution if you suffer from abdominal pain or persistent diarrhea. If you plan to start acne treatment with Neuac, avoid anti-diarrheal medications or speak with your doctor.

Skin sensitivity may be increased with the use of Neuac. Avoid sun exposure, tanning booths, and sunlamps while using your medication to decrease the risk of skin discoloration, and use sunscreen to protect the area when you're outside. If you experience a sunburn, let our team know so we can make assessments and get you back on track with your treatment.

If you're pregnant or planning to become pregnant, let your Nurx medical provider know since your medication made be prescribed on an as-needed basis, or we may recommend another treatment option. Never increase the dose of your medication or use more than twice a day without speaking to our medical team, as this may increase the risk of side effects and will not improve your acne faster.

Serious allergic reactions are rare and more likely to occur in those with a history of reactions to benzoyl peroxide, clindamycin, or lincomycin. Tell your medical provider about known allergic reactions. Symptoms of an allergic reaction may include rash, itching, swelling of the face, tongue or throat, dizziness, or trouble breathing. Get medical attention right away if you experience symptoms of an allergic reaction.

Most medications come with mild side effects that go away with continued use. It may take some time for your body to adjust to your medication, and side effects may be more prevalent when you first start treatment.

Most Neuac users do not have serious side effects, and the most common one is dry skin. Erythema, a patchy redness, sometimes occurs, and skin moisturizing creams may help reduce irritation and side effects.

Itching, burning, and peeling are less common and were reported by less than 6% of users. The most serious side effects are rare and have presented as rash, bloody diarrhea, skin inflammation, eye pain, or skin discoloration. 

 If you notice these or other side effects, or if side effects fail to improve or worsen, stop your medication and speak with your Nurx medical provider to determine the best course of action.

Neuac is best used alone and not combined with other acne medications unless your doctor has approved their use. Since this is a medication, it can interfere with other prescription, over-the-counter, or herbal medications or remedies. 

It's a good idea to let your doctor know what medications or supplements you may be taking to ensure Neuac is the right treatment for you. To reduce the risk of side effects or interactions, always follow your prescription and don't increase your dose or frequency of use without a doctor's approval.
