Product details

Valtrex is an antiviral oral therapy used in the treatment of herpes infections such as cold sores (herpes simplex-1), genital herpes (herpes simplex-2), and shingles (herpes zoster). Valtrex is typically prescribed in one of two strengths (500 mg, 1 g) and doses vary depending on the condition it has been prescribed to treat. In children over the age of 2, Valtrex is proven to treat chickenpox (varicella-zoster), the virus that leads to shingles in adults. Valtrex is prescribed to decrease the number of outbreaks while it helps reduce the length and severity of a herpes outbreak.

Nurx currently offers the generic version of Valtrex, Valacyclovir, for the prevention and treatment of herpes outbreaks with or without insurance.
